Dewberry has been selected to design the widening of West Gore Boulevard for the City of Lawton in southwest Oklahoma. The firm will provide complete engineering services, including utility relocation coordination, right-of-way acquisition support, water line relocation design, roadway design, and construction administration, for the widening of one mile of the boulevard from two to five lanes.
West Gore Boulevard is an east-west arterial that serves as the official dividing line between north and south Lawton. The one-mile expansion between Northwest 67th and Northwest 82nd streets is the last segment to be widened; and will relieve traffic congestion, support new development in the western part of the city, and serve as an alternate route to Rogers Lane, another busy route approximately two miles to the north.
