Dewberry will provide roadway and civil engineering design and construction support services for the extension of Northstar Boulevard from Route 50 to Shreveport Drive in Loudoun County, Virginia.
As part of the preliminary engineering process, the firm will be working with Loudoun County and property owners along the potential roadway alignment to determine a preferred alignment. Concepts for the intersection with Evergreen Mills Road and a future interchange with Route 50 will also be developed as part of this preliminary engineering process.
Following the development of conceptual alignments, Dewberry will work with Loudoun County to select a recommended alignment for final design. Final plans will be developed for the right-of-way acquisition and construction of the roadway. Dewberry will be responsible for all survey, environmental permitting, and engineering design services, and will oversee subconsultant services for aerial mapping, geotechnical investigations, traffic counts and projections, utility designations and test pits, and specialty environmental studies and investigations.
