Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Sandra (Sandy) Blick, PE, has joined the firm as senior project engineer in the transportation practice based in its Bloomfield, New Jersey, office.
With more than three decades of experience in water resources engineering and design, Blick joins the firm to provide technical oversight for stormwater management, drainage design, hydrology, and hydraulics projects. In addition to her technical support, Blick will mentor junior water resources staff and support marketing efforts.
Blick brings expertise in stormwater management based on her former role serving as the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP) technical lead in developing the state’s stormwater management rule and design manual. Prior to joining Dewberry, she served as the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s (NJDOT) section chief for the Office of Hydrology and Hydraulics.
“Sandy’s many years of experience with NJDOT related to floodplain issues, drainage, and stormwater management will be a tremendous asset to our team and clients,” says Dewberry Associate Vice President and Department Manager Eric Boschen, PE. “Her knowledge and ability to build strong relationships will continue to help support our clients and projects.”
Blick received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University (1989). She is a member of the New Jersey Association for Floodplain Management.
