Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the completion of San Joaquin State Route (SR) 99 in Lodi, California. The federal- and state-funded project featured the installation of a new roundabout, reconstruction of the on- and off-ramps to Turner Road, and reconfigured southbound on- and off-ramps to SR 99 leading to the new roundabout.
Improvements also include a dedicated bicycle lane, sidewalks, landscaping, and a new traffic signal at the intersection of Cherokee Lane, Pioneer Drive, and southbound SR 99. Dewberry provided project design, funding and bidding support, and construction management services for the project.
“These improvements will increase community safety and overall wellbeing for motorists and pedestrians,” says Dewberry Associate Vice President and Senior Construction Manager Rob Shackelford, PE, CCM. “Collaboration between Dewberry, the city of Lodi, the San Joaquin Council of Governments, the San Joaquin community, and Caltrans has allowed us to successfully complete this project and benefit the city and greater community with enhanced infrastructure.”
