Dewberry/Gannett Fleming Team Selected by USACE Mobile District to Support Civil Works Program

Team to focus on water resources planning, flood risk management.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District recently awarded a Civil Works program support, architect and engineering services indefinite delivery contract to the joint venture (JV) team of CCW AE Services, led by Dewberry and Gannett Fleming.

The five-year, $36-million shared capacity multiple award task order contract (MATOC) will support the district’s planning and engineering divisions’ mission assignments in the areas of flood damage and risk reduction, coastal erosion, storm damage risk reduction and beach nourishment, shallow and deep-draft navigation, environmental and ecosystem habitat restoration, wetlands, fish and wildlife mitigation, watershed evaluations, environmental impact studies, and multi-purpose water resource projects. Projects supporting the Mobile District’s Civil Works program are typically located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; Central and South America; and other locations assigned to the Mobile District.

“This contract allows us to support the Mobile District Civil Works program, one that spans a large area in the southeastern U.S. and nations in Latin America, and most importantly, a program that addresses significant water resources, flood risk management, navigation, and ecosystem restoration challenges,” says JV Manager and Dewberry Associate Vice President Tony Buitrago, PE, PMP, F.SAME. “We’re truly excited to be a part of this effort.”
