Former water rights consultant brings nearly 15 years of experience to firm’s Denver, Colorado, office.

Sira Sartori

Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Sira Sartori has joined the firm as a business development specialist to support the water practice. She will be based in the Denver, Colorado, office.

Sartori brings with her nearly 15 years of experience in water rights consulting and water resources planning and management. During her career, she has worked with municipalities to develop water supplies to support population growth and prepared water conservation and drought management plans. As a business development specialist with Dewberry, Sartori will be responsible for creating a cohesive team of marketers, business developers, and water leaders across the firm’s geographies to help drive growth in the water market; conduct market research, competitor research, and client analyses; and work in tandem with operations leadership and marketing staff to determine key pursuits, develop win strategies, and drive the proposal process.

“Colorado is very unique in the fact that water rights are decreed through the court, which provides a formal avenue to settle disputes and negotiate with opposing entities,” says Sartori. “I’m looking forward to using my background and familiarity with this process to support Dewberry as we seek to drive involvement in the water market here in Colorado, and improve water infrastructure and availability across the state and region.”

Sartori earned a bachelor’s degree in watershed science from Colorado State University (2007) and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in marketing with a concentration in global marketing and sustainability from the University of Colorado. She is a professional hydrologist and has been published by the American Institute of Hydrology for her work titled, “Platte River Recovery Implementation Program: Target Flows.”
