Dewberry’s Kevin Wood Receives Water Environment Federation Delegate Service Award

Vice president honored for service as member association delegate.

Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that Vice President and Regional Water Market Segment Leader Kevin Wood, PE, has been honored by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) with a Delegate Service Award. The award recognizes member association delegates for their outstanding service as a member of the House of Delegates. Prior to serving as a delegate from 2019-2022, Wood chaired a variety of committees within his WEF Member Association, including the Virginia Water Environment Association (VWEA), where he served as president from 2005-2006.

Wood has over 35 years of experience and joined Dewberry in 2013. As the firm’s regional water market segment leader, he is responsible for strategic planning, business development, contract management, and delivering water, wastewater, and water reuse projects for both public and private clients throughout the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

“It’s bittersweet to end my tenure as a WEF delegate and my second stint on the VWEA Board of Directors,” says Wood. “I have sincerely enjoyed the challenges we’ve addressed, whether it’s educating the public on the importance of water or promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the water profession, as well as the new relationships I have built that will last a lifetime.”

Wood earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil/environmental engineering from West Virginia University (1981 and 1984). He has been a member of WEF for over 35 years, serving on several regional and national committees.
