Richard Ellis

Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has hired two new professionals to expand the firm’s land development and municipal capabilities in southwestern Florida.

Richard Ellis, PE, has been hired as a senior project manager in the firm’s Sarasota office. In this new capacity, he will manage engineering projects along the west coast of Florida, primarily in the Sarasota and Bradenton areas.

Ellis has 20 years of experience in land development and civil engineering in southwest Florida. He is currently managing design and permitting for the Seminole Bay apartment project and serving as the assistant district engineer for several community development districts in Lakewood Ranch.
Ellis earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Ellis is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Manatee-Sarasota Business Alliance, and the Tampa Bay Bergstrom Real Estate Council.

Timothy Foushee, PE, is a project engineer in the firm’s Sarasota office. In this new capacity, Foushee will focus on water resources engineering and drainage design in support of Dewberry’s land development practice, as well as transportation and municipal projects.

With more than 14 years of experience in the Sarasota area, Foushee is an expert drainage engineer and familiar with Florida’s regulatory environment. He is currently working on drainage design and permitting for the Seminole Bay apartments, as well as flood modeling for the Old Hickory Development in Osceola County.

Foushee received his Master of Engineering and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Louisville. He is a member and former president of the Sun Coast branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers and also serves on the chapter’s scholarship committee.
