The award-winning Somerville Station Transit-Oriented Development redeveloped NJ TRANSIT’s 31-acre parking lot and underutilized land into a community with 374 apartments, 156 townhomes, parking garages, retail and community spaces, and a new road connecting to a state highway. The project’s innovative stormwater management strategy works with nature by directing stormwater into an adjacent “green seam,” where it helps to sustain wetlands and habitat. We served as site engineer for the project.
