Dewberry announced that Senior Associate Jonathan Crump, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to design director for the architecture practice.
In this new position, Crump will continue to place emphasis on elevating and integrating design among disciplines, including sustainability, interior design, resilience, and engineering. A skilled designer with awards for educational planning, building design, and creative use of materials, he possesses a unique blend of management, design, and construction experience.
With more than 33 years of experience, Crump’s recent projects include the state-of-the-art Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences – A.R. & Marylouise Tandy Medical Academic Building; the $33.7 million City of Lawton Public Safety Building that broke ground in September 2017; and the Architecture 2030-compliant Rosa Parks Elementary School expansion.
“Jonathan is an excellent mentor, teacher, and team builder. I look forward to working with him as he undertakes this new role,” said James Draheim, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, president of Dewberry’s architecture practice.
Crump received the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the American Institute of Architects Eastern Oklahoma chapter for his involvement and implementation of the chapter’s Architects Registration Exam (ARE) Study Program, which helped increase the number of licensed architects in the Tulsa area. He earned his bachelor’s in architecture from North Dakota State University in 1984 and is a licensed architect in Minnesota and Oklahoma.
