Our stream restoration design for Cobbs Creek will rehabilitate the stream corridor ecosystem, repair and protect existing infrastructure, improve park use, and manage street side stormwater runoff with green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) and stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).

The overall goal of the project is to address combined sewer overflow (CSO) impacts in this dense, urban environment as part of Philadelphia’s ambitious 25-year, $1.67-billion Green City, Clean Waters program. The program is designed to protect and enhance the city’s watersheds by managing stormwater with innovative green infrastructure to comply with environmental laws and regulations.
