Intercounty Connector – Contract C

Contract C of the Intercounty Connector project is the second of five contracts to complete the 18.8-mile corridor from Montgomery to Prince George’s Counties.
Our engineers were responsible for the intelligent transportation systems and electronic toll collection (ITS/ETC) design.
We designed more than 20 new bridges with aesthetic elements to complement the surrounding areas, 10 retaining walls, nine major culvert crossings, 15 new stormwater management facilities, and electronic toll collection.
The $513.9 million design-build Intercounty Connector involved 3.8 miles of six-lane roadway, more than 20 bridges, and interchanges with state routes and Interstate 95 in Maryland.
